Taxidermy Classes by Animal Arts Northwest School of Taxidermy

All of our classes include food & lodging for their duration.

We will supply all tools required for work in our studio. 

You will be given a 1 year of membership in the National Taxidermists Association, compliments of PRO Taxidermy.

We will pick up & drop off at the airport for free if you choose to fly into town.

NOT included are the specimens or forms you choose to mount.

If you have need, we do have skins & horns available for purchase. 

ALL CLASSES ARE CUSTOMIZABLE.  AFTER ALL, THIS IS ABOUT YOU & WHAT YOU WANT TO LEARN.

2 Week class includes:

You will flesh & prep capes for mounting.

A brief overview of tanning will be given.

We will cover form alteration & custom pedestals.

Mounting instruction from A-Z & finishing techniques. 

You can expect to mount & finish approximately 6 game heads.
 

4 Week class includes:

To the above 2 week class there will be added...

Full working knowledge of tanning

Alterations of life size forms

Life size mounts

Rugs

Repro fish

More game heads!

6  Week class includes:

To the above 4 week class there will be added

More life sizes

Add a rug

Another fish or 2

Lots more game heads

An introduction to African work (a couple of game heads)

You should become solid in your taxidermy skills & be well acquainted with the daily workings of a full-time taxidermy studio

CLASS COST

2 weeks  $3,000.00

4 weeks  $6,000.00

6 weeks  $8,000.00

The instructor is RJ Simington, a state & national award winner.  He has earned his NTA Award of Excellence & is an NTA certified judge. 

A deposit of $500 will reserve your class space.
